fantasy football sleepers week 4

In preparation for the next fantasy hockey draft, one of the keys to watch for are the players who are ready for a breakout season. If the project was purely of statistics last season, you're always going to miss some of the best SNAG performers. If you get Jeff Carter, Zach Parise, or Bobby Ryan last season, was well ahead of game. Here are 4 names in each position to consider that others may miss this year:

Offense

Tim Connolly A – If Connolly can never stay healthy for an entire season, he will do some of GM in your league look bright for taking a chance on him. He wrapped up last season with 14 points in 10 games, why not take the opportunity of him this year? Buffalo has little choice, and someone has to play by Vanek. Take the opportunity that this season and thanks to me in the spring.

Nathan Horton – If Horton were being moved to a better team would not be as anonymous on draft day. As it stands, has not come close to their true potential as a target scoring threat. Now entering its sixth season, looking for a step forward in his goal and point total. You must take this team to score.

Milan Michalek – Michalek seemed ready for an outstanding season last year, but Setoguchi took his role in the school play. They expect to reach the fair this year instead. He has the potential to be a big scorer for sharks, and most general managers do not even have it on their radar this fall.

Jordan Staal – Yes, this is his fourth NHL season, and has not exceeded 50 points. Oh yes, he is 21. This can be the year people start talking about the terrific trio of centers in Pittsburgh.

Defense

Braydon Coburn – Coburn is entering his fourth season in the NHL, and has shown that going to be a solid defensive option in fantasy world for the coming years. This could Coburn be the season exploded in the range of 40-50 points. Do not miss the opportunity.

Drew Doughty – 27 points as a rookie in LA is more than Doughty expected last year. While there may be a surprise if it happens, Doughty could easily explode in the range of 40-50 points this season. The Kings are starting to turn the corner, and Doughty will play major minutes, especially on the power play.

Alex Goligoski – With Gill and Scuderi in motion, a good amount of playing time, finally going to go for Goligoski. There can be shot-blocker than the other two, but the points are what matters in fantasy hockey, and has shown that it knows how to help there. Do not be surprised to see a great season of the 2nd player of the year.

James Wisniewski – Wisniewski has been to break out for 2 seasons, both of which were hampered by injuries. With Pronger leaving Anaheim and Niedermeyer get grayer in the beard, opportunities is starting to open for this rising star. Do not be surprised to find him in the range of 40-50 points in 2009.

Goalkeepers

Jonas Hiller – Hiller seemed to surprise everyone with elbows Giguere out of position # 1 in Anaheim. He was the star of the playoffs in the first 2 rounds before losing to Detroit. It's his first season to become a # 1. He has the potential to overcome the top 10 by the end of the season.

Cristobal Huet – Huet material increased significantly when Khabibulin left for Edmonton. For the first time, is a legitimate # 1 goalie in a very good team. Huet has played well enough in his career think that this could be a breakout season.

Pekka Rinne – Nashville seems to get a hot goalie again every season. His farm has to be dried quickly, so expect Rinne to break the trend and hang in there. Predators have a strong defense to support goalie statistics. Rinne can be about to explode into reality.

Simeon Varlamov – If you play well in the regular season as he did in the playoffs, Washington can have a legitimate fantasy star network for the first time. However, the plugs are not all that interested in defending the whole thing, so even if he is a star, their statistics are not classified as a # 1.
