There are many different types of fantasy football leagues and it is important to make the right decision. The type more popular leagues are the standard draft leagues. These types of leagues are begun with teams in which players are selected in a serpentine style of draft. Alignments can be selected by the owners on a weekly basis. This is usually based on the number of players per position as allowed by league rules. There are actually two different types of standard draft leagues. These are the total points in head to head. The difference between the two is that with a head to head league each team is compared against a different team every week. The computer that receives the most points is recorded as the winning team. The teams with the best records at the end of the season playing in the playoffs at the end of the season so that a final champion to be determined. With a total points league, wins and losses are not recorded. In contrast, points are accumulated on a continual basis. The classification is determined according to the total points of the teams. At the end of the regular season, teams with the highest number total points to meet the playoffs.
The auction draft league can also be composed of either a total points system or a head to head system. Unlike the League of draft standard, however, the league auction draft uses the owners who have an amount of money that is predetermined that they can bid for players to complete their lists.
With the dynasty league, players are on the same roster from one season to the next unless they are put released or traded. Projects are carried out for rookies only after the first season.
Keeper leagues combine some of the characteristics between leagues and dynasty league draft standard. A project is carried out before the beginning of each regular season, so that many of the players is drafted, however, owners can maintain a certain number of players from last season.
IDP leagues use defensive players individually instead than defense units. This type of league can be a little more difficult to organize the owners, because it means more thought will usually need to be given to fill the other positions.
A survivor leagues uses just about any project you want, however, that most often the use of auctions or projects standard style. The main difference between this league and all the other leagues is that each week a team is eliminated based on results that the lowest number of points.
